Topic: Some people think that family is the important influnce on young 
       adults. Other people think that friends are the most important 
       influence on young adults. Which do you think is the most impor-
       tant influence? Give specific reasons for your answer.

    The process of growing up is very complex for every person. Among 
countless factors which influence a person's growth, there are two con-
spicuous: the family and the friends. After one is born, the first and
nearest surroundings is the family in which on the other hand, almost
as soon as a child becomes old enough to communicate with other child-
ren, he begins having friends, who sometimes influence him more rapidly
than do families. Then as far as I am concerned, both of their influ-
ences are indispensable for children's growth.
    Several centuries ago, there in Europe has a famous family: Bernoulis.
This family is distinguished by its scientific contributions to the world.
It brought up more than 20 great scientists and mathematicians so that
there are so many formula and laws titled with the name: Bernoullis. It is
a convincing example to demonstrate the importance of the family. Because
the family is children's most direct source of knowledge and other exper-
iences, those who are brought up in good family tend to possess many 
pleasant characters, and vise versa.
    If we say that families offer the environment of living, friends play
another important part in shaping the child. They are connections between
the child and the society. By associating with friends one can gradually
get into the society and become sociable. To some extent, man is sociable
creature so that children should understand the society, get used to it,
and get pleasure out of it. To this point, friends would help. As for me,
I have lots of friends who have many different opinions and personalities.
Discussing with them enriches my thought, and playing with them builds up
my personality. Franly speaking, I really get a lot of valuable things 
from my friends.
    Families offer us warmth and care. Friends give us strength and hor-
izon. They both help us understand the world as it is. Both of them are
the dearest parts in our life.

显著的方面：家庭和朋友。当一个人出生以后，第一个也是最近的环境是家庭，在
这里他将成长。所以家庭扮演了一个在塑造儿童的爱好和性格方面有意义的角色。
另一方面，一旦当小孩长到能和其他小孩交往的时候，他开始交朋友，这些朋友有
时会比家庭影响他们影响得多。就我们关心的而言，这些影响对于小孩的成长都重
要。
    几个世纪以前，在欧洲有一个著名的家庭：伯努力家族，这个家族以他们对世
界的贡献而闻名。它供养了20多位伟大的科学家和数学家，以至于有许多公式和定
律以这个名字命名：伯努力。这是一个证明家庭重要性的例子。因为家庭是儿童最
直接的知识和经验的来源，那些在好的家庭成长起来的人被培养了令人愉快的性格。
    如果我们说家庭提供了一个生活的环境，朋友在塑造小孩的性格发面起到另一
个很重要的作用。他们是小孩和社会的联系。通过与朋友的合作，一个小孩可以逐
渐走进社会并成为社会化。从广义上说人是社会化生物，所以，小孩应该去理解社
会、习惯社会和得到它以外的乐趣。就这一点，朋友可以帮助获得。对于我来说，
我有许多有许多不同观点朋友，和他们讨论可以丰富我的想法，和他们一起玩可以
建立我的个性。真诚地谈天，我可以从我朋友那里得到很多有价值的东西。
    家庭提供给我们温暖和关心，朋友给我们力量和视野。他们都帮助我们理解世
界，他们都是我们生活当中最宝贵的。
