Freescale WMSG Team is looking for 4 to 6 interns with strong mathematic
background. Please find the Job Description as follows:
Intern Software Engineer-WMSG MAD(Multimedia Application Division)
Responsibilities: As software engineer you will be working with audio/video
software team to develop audio/video codec for DSP or ARM processor. You
will be responsible for,
1. Understand audio/video codec specification and reference code. Generate
software requirements.
2. Define software architecture design as well as detail design on target
processor. Generate and maintain design document.
3. Program the target processor in both C and assembly language. Use profile
tools to identify MIPS intensive algorithm and optimize accordingly.
4. Generate test procedures and cases. Carry out audio/video codec testing.
Requirements:
1. Have good C language programming skill. 2~3 years of C programming
experience. DSP knowledge preferred.
2. Familiar with assembly programming skill. 1~2 years of experience.
Understand C-ASM mixed programming skill.
3. Have good knowledge of audio/video encoding and decoding technology. WMA,
WMV and AAC preferred.
4. Have strong mathematic or physics background. Have deep understanding of
audio/video processing algorithm.
5. Have experience of optimizing audio/video encoder or decoder, WMA, WMV
and AAC preferred.
6. Understand basic software development process.
7. Can read/write English document smoothly.
8. Good communication skill and teamwork
9. 2nd year student of Master or Ph.D program with strong mathamatic
background
10. Willing to work in Shanghai
