      Doctoral Degree Program of Precision Instruments and Mechonology

· The discipline of precision Instruments and Mechonology was authorized as
   a master program that obtained the rights of conferring master degrees in
   1981, then as a doctoral program in 1990.
· The main research fields include: Ultra-precision and Nanometer Measuring
Technology, Bionic Testing and Automatic T&C (Test and Control) Technology,
Photoelectric Testing and Optical-Mechanical-Electrical-Controlling
Integrated Technology, Rediation Metrology and Thermophysical Testing
Technology,Sensor and T&G (Test and Control) Technology,Iiquidcrystal Display
Technology and so on.
· At present time, our researchers are in charge of 15 significant R&D
(Research and Development) projects supported by National Foundation of
Science, 863 Hi-Tech Projects and other committees. Since 1992, 34 R&D
projects have been completed,in which 1 won the third-class prize of national
science and technology advance, 1 won the fourth-class prize of national
invention, 3 won the third-class prize of Ministry (Province) science and
technology advance, 13 won the second-class prize, 12 won the third-class
prize. 400 papers have been published in academic journals and magazines in
domestic and overseas, moreover, 10 monographs have also been published.
· This discipline has 18 professors and 13 associate professors, among whom
8 are doctoral supervisor, 28 are master supervisor. Up to now, 38 doctors
and 292 masters have been cultivated. There are 57 doctoral candidates and 4
8 master candidates.
