一些02级的同学最近向我打听关于深圳研究生院的情况。一些硬件和课程的情况网上
都能查到。以下李老师刚刚发给我们的关于一些研一学生进入实验室的计划,希望对你们
有些参考价值。
Student Projects for 2005 Class
(1) Intelligent Robotic Toys
Two students will be needed to work with two students from the 2004 class to d
evelop the control system of a humanoid robot, and a dinasour. This includes:
(a) selection and design of controller hardware (knowledge of microcontrolle
r will be very helpful); (b) specification and development of software archite
cture for the robot controller (some basic knowledge of embedded systems); (c)
kinematic and simple dynamic model of the robot; and (d) algorithm developmen
t and implementation (servo-level control, trajectory generation and planning,
behavior based control).
Background knowledge: microcontroller, embedded systems, C-programming, basic
electronics.
(2) Design of a Simplified and Energy-efficient Bipedal Robot
Two students (hopefully one with mechanical engineering and the other with con
trol engineering background) to work on: (a) Study a few papers on passive dyn
amical walking robots, understand the state of the art technology in this area
; (b) Understand the manufacturing process and constraints of a typical toy ma
nufacturer in Dongguan; (b) Propose the design of a simplified bipedal walking
robot; (c) Work with company engineers to develop the control system for such
a robot.
Background knowledge: Mechanism design, dynamics, microcontroller, mechanical
design tools.
(3) Hard Disk Assembly Platforms
Four students are needed to work on the setup of a platform for research in ha
rd-disk and photonic components assembly: (a) Get familiar with the control sy
stem of the Adept robot; (b) develop a vision system for part localization and
inspection (camera, lighting, image processing);
(c) develop a force control system for the robot system; (d) modeling of mina
ture component assembly process, and tooling design; (e) system integration, a
nd evaluation of process reliability.
Background knowledge: Three students with control background, and one with mec
hanical engineering background.
(4) Motion Control and Robotics Lab Assistants
Three students are needed as assistants in the Motion Control and Robotics Lab
to work on: (a)
Getting familiar with the experimental platform in the lab that includes: Moti
on control development platform, a gantry type robot, a three-axis milling mac
hine with open-architecture control system; (b) Develop a number of laboratory
experiments on these platforms; and (c) develop experimental manuals for cour
ses to be offered next year.
(5) Robot Controller Project
Three students are needed to work on the design and development of a controlle
r system for a wafer handling robot from ASM Pacific Technology Ltd. This is a
real industry project that involves: (a) Understand the basic structure of a
n industrial robot that has large payload, wide operation envelope, and fast m
otion; (b) develop the dynamic model of the robot and perform simulation stud
ies; (c) Develop the control system hardware and software for the robot.
Background: Control and/or mechanical engineering background.
