Experiment Faculty (EF) was founded in 1993 at Harbin Institute of Technology 
(HIT). Professor Mingzhu LIU, Dean of EF, with Ph.D. Degree, has been leading 
an international education conception in EF for over ten years. The education 
objective of EF inherits from Engineering School's continual study of Bachelor
 and Master Degree at MIT, which is to equip students with broad knowledge hor
izon, innovation ability, persistent willpower and cooperative team spirits. O
ur teaching strategy aims to culture balanced and outstanding students in math
, physics, computer science and solid major courses with fluent English. In or
der to inspire potential outstanding engineers，EF provides the best and selec
ted lectures at HIT. EF also lays stress on practical skills. More experiment 
opportunities and best equipments are available for candidates in EF, such as 
experiments on Physics, Electronics, Mechanics, Mathematics and etc. Candidate
s also have the priority to apply for undergraduates' projects in their junior
 and senior years. 
        Every year only the top 100 students among all the freshmen at HIT are
 qualified to study in EF. They are from over fifteen specialties including Me
chanical Engineering Department, Electrical Engineering Department, Material E
ngineering Department, Computer Science and Engineering Department and many ot
her engineering departments. All the candidates in EF don't need to take the N
ational Graduate Entrance Test if they decide to continue their graduate study
 at HIT. At the end of the sophomoric year, candidates begin to choose their u
ndergraduate's supervisors and do researches in the corresponding laboratories
 in advance. Supervisors instruct candidates' study there and candidates can c
over graduates' courses credits in their junior and senior years.  
        Many candidates in EF published fine papers in well-known journals and
 more won top prizes in MCM, ICM, ACM and like world class competitions. Each 
year there are many students who continued their study after graduation abroad
 such as in US, France, and Singapore.
