Job Description:


SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPECTATIONS:

· Mechanical Design for Cellular Base Stations, including cabinet, sheet me
tal parts, plastic parts, die casting parts, cables etc. development and dra
wing releases

· Interface with suppliers for manufacturability and cost optimization

· Interface with factory, Quality, Sourcing and other Engineers for new pro
duct development and cost reduction

· Interface with co-workers worldwide, through conference call and NetMeeti
ng

· Communication across local/oversea organizations

· Some travels to manufacturing and/or customer sites are required


EDUCATION:

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or Electronic Engineering or equivalent

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

· At least 2 years of industry-related Mechanical design/development experi
ence

· Good Experience with Mechanical Engineering Design tools like Pro/enginee
r

· Thermal design – heat transfer design and tests

· Structural design – knowledge of FEA (Finite Element Analysis) is prefer
red

· Engineering materials – sheet metal, plastic, cable and connector fabric
ation

· Knowledge in telecommunication industry’s spec is a plus
