Only J - 2 and H - 1 visa can work in USA.
When your husband holds J - 1(visit scholar), you can apply J - 2(as his
spouse) to visit him and work here. But after your husband finished his
research you have to leave.
If you can apply H - 1(Working visa), then you can work.
If your husband hold H - 1 visa, you have H - 2 visa(as his spouse) you
can't work maybe.
F - 1 is student visa, after finished your degree, you can apply job here,
don't have to go back to China.
F - 2 visa is F - 1's spouse, can't work.
But if emergency happens, you and your spouse might apply a temporary work.
J - 1 visa is visiting visa, after you finish the work , you have to go back,
unless you can apply waiver from Chinese government, which I heart that
they stopped doing this since 1996.
