  1th, which ver of your vb?
  2th, if you know how to use c api of sql server, you can make a custom 
  coltrol of vb.
  3th, if you want to use odbc api of vb, there are some truble of 64k.
  if you use vb3 you can see the sample of visdata the see how to deal with.
