PLECS (Piece-wise Linear Elecrical Circuit Simulation) is a Simulink
add-on for the fast simulation of elecrical and power electronics
circuits. It allows the seamless integration of electrical circuits in
the Simulink environment. Circuits are entered as netlists. They may
consist of linear components (RLC), transformers, sources,
measurements,
and ideal switches. The use of ideal switches is advantageous for the
simulation of switched networks such as power electronic systems.
The new version 0.4 of PLECS is now available and can be downloaded from
http://www.lem.ee.ethz.ch/plecs/
One of the most important new features is the "import" command. With
this command variables defined in the Matlab workspace can be made
visible in PLECS. This is useful if you want to calculate parameters
in
Matlab and apply them to circuit components.
PLECS is now available for the platforms PC/Windows, PC/Linux, and
SUN/Solaris.
The new features are documented in the pdf and postscript versions of
the PLECS user manual which also contains a tutorial chapter. Please
note that the html online manual on our site is not yet updated to the
new version.
