Remote Recover gives you a new way to repair NTFS-based systems 
throughout your NT enterprise.
Remote Recover allows you to access NTFS (and FAT) drives across your 
network, without needing to run NT (or even have it installed) on the 
machines you wish to access. Booting the target machine from a MS-DOS 
floppy disk, you can transparently access its NTFS and FAT disks from 
another NT system in order to: 
* Edit, copy and/or delete files that may be preventing the system 
from booting. 
* Copy files, or entire partitions, between the target system and any 
other machine on your network. 
* Repair damaged file system structures using chkdsk. 
* Partition and format disks as either NTFS or FAT. 
* Restore files or entire disks from tape backup. 
* Prevent unauthorized users from tampering with a client machine, by 
means of optional password support. 
* Remote Recover allows all of these functions to be performed over your
 network using the tools you are already familiar with: Windows 
Explorer, Disk Administrator, your off-the-shelf backup software, etc.
Remote Recover works even when the target system does not have ANY 
operating system installed, and is therefore ideal for restoring systems
 from scratch or accessing files on systems that are completely 
unbootable.
