This is what the moonlight does: it makes a conversation on Shan [ Zen ] seem
more spiritual and ethereal, a talk about swordsmanship seem more romantic, a
discussion of poetry more charming, and a woman more enchanting.
Shihtan: In contrast, imagine attending a formal dinner on a hot day, sitting
for an examination on a snowy day, and facing a puritanical scholar on a
dark, rainy day!
