第十二章                         CHAPTER 12
  1 耶和华对亚伯兰说、你要离开本   1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee
地、本族、父家、往我所要指示你的 out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and
地去。                           from thy father's house, unto a land that I
                                 will shew thee:
  2 我必叫你成为大国．我必赐福给   2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and
你、叫你的名为大、你也要叫别人得 I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and
福．                             thou shalt be a blessing:
  3 为你祝福的、我必赐福与他、那   3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and
咒诅你的、我必咒诅他、地上的万族 curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall
都要因你得福。                   all families of the earth be blessed.
  4 亚伯兰就照著耶和华的吩咐去了   4 So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken
．罗得也和他同去．亚伯兰出哈兰的 unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was

  5 亚伯兰将他妻子撒莱、和侄儿罗   5 And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his

  6 亚伯兰经过那地、到了示剑地方   6 And Abram passed through the land unto the

。                               the Canaanite was then in the land.
  7 耶和华向亚伯兰显现、说、我要   7 And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said,
把这地赐给你的後裔．亚伯兰就在那 Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there
里为向他显现的耶和华□了一座坛。 builded he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared
                                 unto him.
  8 从那里他又迁到伯特利东边的山   8 And he removed from thence unto a mountain
、支搭帐棚．西边是伯特利、东边是 on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent,
艾．他在那里又为耶和华□了一座坛 having Bethel on the west, and Hai on the east:
、求告耶和华的名。               and there he builded an altar unto the LORD,
                                 and called upon the name of the LORD.
  9 後来亚伯兰又渐渐迁往南地去。   9 And Abram journeyed, going on still toward
                                 the south.
 10 那地遭遇□荒、因□荒甚大、亚  10 And there was a famine in the land: and
伯兰就下埃及去、要在那里暂居。   Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there;
                                 for the famine was grievous in the land.
 11 将近埃及就对他妻子撒莱说、我  11 And it came to pass, when he was come near
知道你是容貌俊美的妇人．         to enter into Egypt, that he said unto Sarai
                                 his wife, Behold now, I know that thou art a
                                 fair woman to look upon:
 12 埃及人看见你必说、这是他的妻  12 Therefore it shall come to pass, when the
子、他们就要杀我、却叫你存活。   Egyptians shall see thee, that they shall say,
                                 This is his wife: and they will kill me, but
                                 they will save thee alive.
 13 求你说、你是我的妹子、使我因  13 Say, I pray thee, thou art my sister: that
你得平安、我的命也因你存活。     it may be well with me for thy sake; and my
                                 soul shall live because of thee.
 14 及至亚伯兰到了埃及、埃及人看  14 And it came to pass, that, when Abram was
见那妇人极其美貌。               come into Egypt, the Egyptians beheld the woman
                                 that she was very fair.
 15 法老的臣宰看见了他、就在法老  15 The princes also of Pharaoh saw her, and
面前夸奖他．那妇人就被带进法老的 commended her before Pharaoh: and the woman was

 16 法老因这妇人就厚待亚伯兰、亚  16 And he entreated Abram well for her sake:
伯兰得了许多牛、羊、骆驼、公驴、 and he had sheep, and oxen, and he asses, and
母驴、仆婢。                     menservants, and maidservants, and she asses,
                                 and camels.
 17 耶和华因亚伯兰妻子撒莱的缘故  17 And the LORD plagued Pharaoh and his house
、降大灾与法老和他的全家。       with great plagues because of Sarai Abram's
                                 wife.
 18 法老就召了亚伯兰来、说、你这  18 And Pharaoh called Abram and said, What is
向我作的是甚麽事呢、为甚麽没有告 this that thou hast done unto me? why didst
诉我他是你的妻子．               thou not tell me that she was thy wife?
 19 为甚麽说、他是你的妹子、以致  19 Why saidst thou, She is my sister? so I
我把他取来要作我的妻子．现在你的 might have taken her to me to wife: now
妻子在这里、可以带他走罢。       therefore behold thy wife, take her, and go thy
                                 way.
 20 於是法老吩咐人将亚伯兰和他妻  20 And Pharaoh commanded his men concerning
子、并他所有的都送走了。         him: and they sent him away, and his wife, and
                                 all that he had.
