第十五章                         CHAPTER 15
  1 这事以後、耶和华在异象中有话   1 After these things the word of the LORD
对亚伯兰说、亚伯兰你不要惧怕、我 came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not,
是你的盾牌、必大大的赏赐你。     Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great
                                 reward.
  2 亚伯兰说、主耶和华阿、我既无   2 And Abram said, LORD God, what wilt thou
子、你还赐我甚麽呢．并且要承受我 give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward
家业的、是大马色人以利以谢。     of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?
  3 亚伯兰又说、你没有给我儿子、   3 And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast
那生在我家中的人、就是我的後嗣。 given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is
                                 mine heir.
  4 耶和华又有话对他说、这人必不   4 And, behold, the word of the LORD came unto
成为你的後嗣、你本身所生的、□成 him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but
为你的後嗣。                     he that shall come forth out of thine own
                                 bowels shall be thine heir.
  5 於是领他走到外边、说、你向天   5 And he brought him forth abroad, and said,
观看、数算众星、能数得过来麽．又 Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if
对他说、你的後裔将要如此。       thou be able to number them: and he said unto
                                 him, So shall thy seed be.
  6 亚伯兰信耶和华、耶和华就以此   6 And he believed in the LORD; and he counted
为他的义。                       it to him for righteousness.
  7 耶和华又对他说、我是耶和华、   7 And he said unto him, I am the LORD that
曾领你出了迦勒底的吾珥、为要将这 brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give
地赐你为业。                     thee this land to inherit it.
  8 亚伯兰说、主耶和华阿、我怎能   8 And he said, LORD God, whereby shall I know
知道必得这地为业呢。             that I shall inherit it?
  9 他说、你为我取一只三年的母牛   9 And he said unto him, Take me an heifer of

绵羊、一只斑鸠、一只雏鸽。       old, and a ram of three years old, and a

 10 亚伯兰就取了这些来、每样劈开  10 And he took unto him all these, and divided

 11 有鸷鸟下来落在那死畜的肉上、  11 And when the fowls came down upon the

 12 日头正落的时候、亚伯兰沉沉的  12 And when the sun was going down, a deep
睡了．忽然有惊人的大黑暗落在他身 sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of

 13 耶和华对亚伯兰说、你要的确知  13 And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety
道、你的後裔必寄居别人的地、又服 that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land
事那地的人．那地的人要苦待他们四 that is not their's, and shall serve them; and
百年．                           they shall afflict them four hundred years;
 14 并且他们所要服事的那国、我要  14 And also that nation, whom they shall
惩罚後来他们必带著许多财物、从那 serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they
里出来。                         come out with great substance.
 15 但你要享大寿数、平平安安的归  15 And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace;
到你列祖那里、被人埋葬。         thou shalt be buried in a good old age.
 16 到了第四代、他们必回到此地、  16 But in the fourth generation they shall
因为亚摩利人的罪孽、还没有满盈。 come hither again: for the iniquity of the
                                 Amorites is not yet full.
 17 日落天黑、不料有冒烟的炉、并  17 And it came to pass, that, when the sun
烧著的火把、从那些肉块中经过。   went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking
                                 furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between
                                 those pieces.
 18 当那日耶和华与亚伯兰立约、说  18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant
、我已赐给你的後裔、从埃及河直到 with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given
伯拉大河之地．                   this land, from the river of Egypt unto the
                                 great river, the river Euphrates:
 19 就是基尼人、基尼洗人、甲摩尼  19 The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the
人、                             Kadmonites,
 20 赫人、比利洗人、利乏音人、    20 And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and
                                 the Rephaims,
 21 亚摩利人、迦南人、革迦撒人、  21 And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and
耶布斯人、之地。                 the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.
