第十七章                         CHAPTER 17
  1 亚伯兰年九十九岁的时候、耶和   1 And when Abram was ninety years old and
华向他显现、对他说、我是全能的　 nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto

                                 be thou perfect.
  2 我就与你立约、使你的後裔极其   2 And I will make my covenant between me and

  3 亚伯兰俯伏在地、　神又对他说   3 And Abram fell on his face: and God talked
、                               with him, saying,
  4 我与你立约、你要作多国的父。   4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with
                                 thee, and thou shalt be a father of many
                                 nations.
  5 从此以後、你的名不再叫亚伯兰   5 Neither shall thy name any more be called
、要叫亚伯拉罕、因为我已立你作多 Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a

  6 我必使你的後裔极其繁多、国度   6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful,
从你而立、君王从你而出。         and I will make nations of thee, and kings

  7 我要与你并你世世代代的後裔坚   7 And I will establish my covenant between me
立我的约、作永远的约、是要作你和 and thee and thy seed after thee in their

  8 我要将你现在寄居的地、就是迦   8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed

  9 　神又对亚伯拉罕说、你和你的   9 And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep
後裔必世世代代遵守我的约。       my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after

 10 你们所有的男子、都要受割礼、  10 This is my covenant, which ye shall keep,
这就是我与你、并你的後裔所立的约 between me and you and thy seed after thee;
、是你们所当遵守的。             Every man child among you shall be circumcised.
 11 你们都要受割礼．〔受割礼原文  11 And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your

 12 你们世世代代的男子、无论是家  12 And he that is eight days old shall be

 14 但不受割礼的男子、必从民中剪  14 And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh
除、因他背了我的约。             of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul
                                 shall be cut off from his people; he hath
                                 broken my covenant.
 15 　神又对亚伯拉罕说、你的妻子  15 And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy
撒莱、不可再叫撒莱、他的名要叫撒 wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but

 17 亚伯拉罕就俯伏在地喜笑、心里  17 Then Abraham fell upon his face, and

                                 and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old,
                                 bear?
 18 亚伯拉罕对　神说、但愿以实玛  18 And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael
利活在你面前。                   might live before thee!
 19 　神说、不然、你妻子撒拉要给  19 And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear
你生一个儿子、你要给他起名叫以撒 thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name
、我要与他坚定所立的约、作他後裔 Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with
永远的约。                       him for an everlasting covenant, and with his
                                 seed after him.
 20 至於以实玛利、我也应允你、我  20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee:
必赐福给他、使他昌盛极其繁多、他 Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him
必生十二个族长、我也要使他成为大 fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly;

 21 到明年这时节、撒拉必给你生以  21 But my covenant will I establish with
