第十八章                         CHAPTER 18
  1 耶和华在幔利橡树那里、向亚伯   1 And the LORD appeared unto him in the

  4 容我拿点水来、你们洗洗脚、在   4 Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched,
树下歇息歇息．                   and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under

  5 我再拿一点饼来、你们可以加添   5 And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and

  6 亚伯拉罕急忙进帐棚见撒拉说、   6 And Abraham hastened into the tent unto

  7 亚伯拉罕又跑到牛群里、牵了一   7 And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetcht a
只又嫩又好的牛犊来、交给仆人、仆 calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young
人急忙豫备好了。                 man; and he hasted to dress it.
  8 亚伯拉罕又取了奶油和奶、并豫   8 And he took butter, and milk, and the calf
备好的牛犊来、摆在他们面前、自己 which he had dressed, and set it before them;

  9 他们问亚伯拉罕说、你妻子撒拉   9 And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy

 10 三人中有一位说、到明年这时候  10 And he said, I will certainly return unto
、我必要回到你这里、你的妻子撒拉 thee according to the time of life; and, lo,
必生一个儿子．撒拉在那人後边的帐 Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah

 11 亚伯拉罕和撒拉年纪老迈、撒拉  11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well

 12 撒拉心里暗笑、说、我既已衰败  12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself,
、我主也老迈、岂能有这喜事呢。   saying, After I am waxed old shall I have
                                 pleasure, my lord being old also?
 13 耶和华对亚伯拉罕说、撒拉为甚  13 And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore
麽暗笑、说、我既已年老、果真能生 did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety
养麽。                           bear a child, which am old?
 14 耶和华岂有难成的事麽．到了日  14 Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the

 15 撒拉就害怕、不承认、说、我没  15 Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not;

 16 三人就从那里起行、向所多玛观  16 And the men rose up from thence, and looked

 17 耶和华说、我所要作的事、岂可  17 And the LORD said, Shall I hide from
瞒著亚伯拉罕呢．                 Abraham that thing which I do;
 18 亚伯拉罕必要成为强大的国、地  18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a
上的万国都必因他得福。           great and mighty nation, and all the nations of
                                 the earth shall be blessed in him?
 19 我眷顾他、为要叫他吩咐他的众  19 For I know him, that he will command his
子、和他的眷属、遵守我的道、秉公 children and his household after him, and they
行义、使我所应许亚伯拉罕的话都成 shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice
就了。                           and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon
                                 Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.
 20 耶和华说、所多玛和蛾摩拉的罪  20 And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom
恶甚重、声闻於我。               and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is
                                 very grievous;
 21 我现在要下去、察看他们所行的  21 I will go down now, and see whether they
、果然尽像那达到我耳中的声音一样 have done altogether according to the cry of
麽．若是不然、我也必知道。       it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will
                                 know.
 22 二人转身离开那里、向所多玛去  22 And the men turned their faces from thence,
、但亚伯拉罕仍旧站在耶和华面前。 and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet
                                 before the LORD.
 23 亚伯拉罕近前来说、无论善恶、  23 And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou
你都要剿灭麽。                   also destroy the righteous with the wicked?
 24 假若那城里有五十个义人、你还  24 Peradventure there be fifty righteous
剿灭那地方麽。不为城里这五十个义 within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not
人饶恕其中的人麽。               spare the place for the fifty righteous that
                                 are therein?
 25 将义人与恶人同杀、将义人与恶  25 That be far from thee to do after this
人一样看待、这断不是你所行的．审 manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked:
判全地的主、岂不行公义麽。       and that the righteous should be as the wicked,
                                 that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of
                                 all the earth do right?
 26 耶和华说、我若在所多玛城里见  26 And the LORD said, If I find in Sodom fifty
有五十个义人、我就为他们的缘故、 righteous within the city, then I will spare
饶恕那地方的众人。               all the place for their sakes.
 27 亚伯拉罕说、我虽然是灰尘、还  27 And Abraham answered and said, Behold now,
敢对主说话．                     I have taken upon me to speak unto the LORD,
                                 which am but dust and ashes:
 28 假若这五十个义人短了五个、你  28 Peradventure there shall lack five of the
就因为短了五个毁灭全城麽．他说、 fifty righteous: wilt thou destroy all the city
我在那里若见有四十五个、也不毁灭 for lack of five? And he said, If I find there
那城。                           forty and five, I will not destroy it.
 29 亚伯拉罕又对他说、假若在那里  29 And he spake unto him yet again, and said,
见有四十个怎麽样呢．他说、为这四 Peradventure there shall be forty found there.
十个的缘故、我也不作这事。       And he said, I will not do it for forty's sake.
 30 亚伯拉罕说、求主不要动怒、容  30 And he said unto him, Oh let not the LORD
我说．假若在那里见有三十个怎麽样 be angry, and I will speak: Peradventure there
呢．他说、我在那里若见有三十个、 shall thirty be found there. And he said, I
我也不作这事。                   will not do it, if I find thirty there.
 31 亚伯拉罕说、我还敢对主说话、  31 And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon
假若在那里见有二十个怎麽样呢．他 me to speak unto the LORD: Peradventure there
说、为这二十个的缘故、我也不毁灭 shall be twenty found there. And he said, I
那城。                           will not destroy it for twenty's sake.
 32 亚伯拉罕说、求主不要动怒、我  32 And he said, Oh let not the LORD be angry,
再说这一次、假若在那里见有十个呢 and I will speak yet but this once:
．他说、为这十个的缘故、我也不毁 Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he
灭那城。                         said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake.
 33 耶和华与亚伯拉罕说完了话就走  33 And the LORD went his way, as soon as he
了．亚伯拉罕也回到自己的地方去了 had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham
。                               returned unto his place.
