第二十一章                       CHAPTER 21
  1 耶和华按著先前的话、眷顾撒拉   1 And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said,
、便照他所说的给撒拉成就。       and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken.
  2 当亚伯拉罕年老的时候、撒拉怀   2 For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son
了孕．到　神所说的日期、就给亚伯 in his old age, at the set time of which God
拉罕生了一个儿子。               had spoken to him.
  3 亚伯拉罕给撒拉所生的儿子起名   3 And Abraham called the name of his son that
叫以撒。                         was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him,

  4 以撒生下来第八日、亚伯拉罕照   4 And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac being

  5 他儿子以撒生的时候、亚伯拉罕   5 And Abraham was an hundred years old, when

  8 孩子渐长、就断了奶．以撒断奶   8 And the child grew, and was weaned: and

  9 当时、撒拉看见埃及人夏甲给亚   9 And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the

、□要称为你的後裔。             hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice;
                                 for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.
 13 至於使女的儿子、我也必使他的  13 And also of the son of the bondwoman will I
後裔成立一国、因为他是你所生的。 make a nation, because he is thy seed.
 14 亚伯拉罕清早起来、拿饼和一皮  14 And Abraham rose up early in the morning,

 17 　神听见童子的声音．　神的使  17 And God heard the voice of the lad; and the

 19 　神使夏甲的眼睛明亮、他就看  19 And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well
见一口水井、便去将皮袋盛满了水、 of water; and she went, and filled the bottle
给童子喝。                       with water, and gave the lad drink.
 20 　神保佑童子、他就渐长、住在  20 And God was with the lad; and he grew, and
旷野、成了弓箭手。               dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer.
 21 他住在巴兰的旷野、他母亲从埃  21 And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran:
及地给他娶了一个妻子。           and his mother took him a wife out of the land
                                 of Egypt.
 22 当那时候、亚比米勒同他军长非  22 And it came to pass at that time, that

的子孙、我怎样厚待了你、你也要照 with my son, nor with my son's son: but
样厚待我、与你所寄居这地的民。   according to the kindness that I have done unto
                                 thee, thou shalt do unto me, and to the land
                                 wherein thou hast sojourned.
 24 亚伯拉罕说、我情愿起誓。      24 And Abraham said, I will swear.
 25 从前亚比米勒的仆人、霸占了一  25 And Abraham reproved Abimelech because of a
口水井、亚伯拉罕为这事指责亚比米 well of water, which Abimelech's servants had

 26 亚比米勒说、谁作这事我不知道  26 And Abimelech said, I wot not who hath done

、二人就彼此立约。               them unto Abimelech; and both of them made a

 28 亚伯拉罕把七只母羊羔另放在一  28 And Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the

 29 亚比米勒问亚伯拉罕说、你把这  29 And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What mean

 31 所以他给那地方起名叫别是巴、  31 Wherefore he called that place Beersheba;
因为他们二人在那里起了誓。〔别是 because there they sware both of them.
巴就是盟誓的井的意思〕
 32 他们在别是巴立了约．亚比米勒  32 Thus they made a covenant at Beersheba:
就同他军长非各、起身回非利士地去 then Abimelech rose up, and Phichol the chief
了。                             captain of his host, and they returned into the
                                 land of the Philistines.
 33 亚伯拉罕在别是巴栽上一棵垂丝  33 And Abraham planted a grove in Beersheba,
