第二十六章                       CHAPTER 26
  1 在亚伯拉罕的日子、那地有一次   1 And there was a famine in the land, beside
□荒．这时又有□荒、以撒就往基拉 the first famine that was in the days of
耳去、到非利士人的王亚比米勒那里 Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of
。                               the Philistines unto Gerar.
  2 耶和华向以撒显现、说、你不要   2 And the LORD appeared unto him, and said,
下埃及去、要住在我所指示你的地。 Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which
                                 I shall tell thee of:
  3 你寄居在这地、我必与你同在、   3 Sojourn in this land, and I will be with
赐福给你、因为我要将这些地都赐给 thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and
你和你的後裔、我必坚定我向你父亚 unto thy seed, I will give all these countries,
伯拉罕所起的誓。                 and I will perform the oath which I sware unto
                                 Abraham thy father;
  4 我要加增你的後裔、像天上的星   4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the
那样多．又要将这些地都赐给你的後 stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed
裔．并且地上万国必因你的後裔得福 all these countries; and in thy seed shall all
．                               the nations of the earth be blessed;
  5 都因亚伯拉罕听从我的话、遵守   5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and
我的吩咐、和我的命令、律例、法度 kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes,
。                               and my laws.
  6 以撒就住在基拉耳。             6 And Isaac dwelt in Gerar:
  7 那地方的人问到他的妻子、他便   7 And the men of the place asked him of his
说、那是我的妹子．原来他怕说、是 wife; and he said, She is my sister: for he
我的妻子．他心里想、恐怕这地方的 feared to say, She is my wife; lest, said he,
人、为利百加的缘故杀我、因为他容 the men of the place should kill me for

  8 他在那里住了许久．有一天非利   8 And it came to pass, when he had been there

他实在是你的妻子．你怎麽说、他是 Behold, of a surety she is thy wife; and how
你的妹子．以撒说、我心里想、恐怕 saidst thou, She is my sister? And Isaac said
我因他而死。                     unto him, Because I said, Lest I die for her.
 10 亚比米勒说、你向我们作的是甚  10 And Abimelech said, What is this thou hast
麽事呢、民中险些有人和你的妻同寝 done unto us? one of the people might lightly
、把我们陷在罪里。               have lien with thy wife, and thou shouldest
                                 have brought guiltiness upon us.
 11 於是亚比米勒晓谕众民说、凡沾  11 And Abimelech charged all his people,
著这个人、或是他妻子的、定要把他 saying, He that toucheth this man or his wife
治死。                           shall surely be put to death.
 12 以撒在那地耕种、那一年有百倍  12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received
的收成。耶和华赐福给他。         in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD
                                 blessed him.
 13 他就昌大、日增月盛、成了大富  13 And the man waxed great, and went forward,

 14 他有羊群、牛群、又有许多仆人  14 For he had possession of flocks, and
．非利士人就嫉妒他。             possession of herds, and great store of
                                 servants: and the Philistines envied him.
 15 当他父亲亚伯拉罕在世的日子、  15 For all the wells which his father's
他父亲的仆人所挖的井、非利士人全 servants had digged in the days of Abraham his

                                 filled them with earth.
 16 亚比米勒对以撒说、你离开我们  16 And Abimelech said unto Isaac, Go from us;
去罢、因为你比我们强盛得多。     for thou art much mightier than we.
 17 以撒就离开那里、在基拉耳谷支  17 And Isaac departed thence, and pitched his
搭帐棚、住在那里。               tent in the valley of Gerar, and dwelt there.
 18 当他父亲亚伯拉罕在世之日所挖  18 And Isaac digged again the wells of water,
的水井、因非利士人在亚伯拉罕死後 which they had digged in the days of Abraham
塞住了、以撒就重新挖出来、仍照他 his father; for the Philistines had stopped
父亲所叫的、叫那些井的名字。     them after the death of Abraham: and he called
                                 their names after the names by which his father
                                 had called them.
 19 以撒的仆人在谷中挖井、便得了  19 And Isaac's servants digged in the valley,
一口活水井。                     and found there a well of springing water.
 20 基拉耳的牧人与以撒的牧人争竞  20 And the herdmen of Gerar did strive with
、说、这水是我们的．以撒就给那井 Isaac's herdmen, saying, The water is ours: and
起名叫埃色、因为他们和他相争。〔 he called the name of the well Esek; because
埃色就是相争的意思〕             they strove with him.
 21 以撒的仆人又挖了一口井、他们  21 And they digged another well, and strove
又为这井争竞、因此以撒给这井起名 for that also: and he called the name of it
叫西提拿。〔西提拿就是为敌的意思 Sitnah.
〕                               
 22 以撒离开那里、又挖了一口井、  22 And he removed from thence, and digged
他们不为这井争竞了、他就给那井起 another well; and for that they strove not: and
名叫利河伯．〔就是宽阔的意思〕他 he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said,
说、耶和华现在给我们宽阔之地、我 For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we
们必在这地昌盛。                 shall be fruitful in the land.
 23 以撒从那里上别是巴去。        23 And he went up from thence to Beersheba.
 24 当夜耶和华向他显现、说、我是  24 And the LORD appeared unto him the same
你父亲亚伯拉罕的　神、不要惧怕、 night, and said, I am the God of Abraham thy
因为我与你同在、要赐福给你、并要 father: fear not, for I am with thee, and will
为我仆人亚伯拉罕的缘故、使你的後 bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my
裔繁多。                         servant Abraham's sake.
 25 以撒就在那里□了一座坛、求告  25 And he builded an altar there, and called
耶和华的名、并且支搭帐棚．他的仆 upon the name of the LORD, and pitched his tent

 26 亚比米勒、同他的朋友亚户撒、  26 Then Abimelech went to him from Gerar, and

 27 以撒对他们说、你们既然恨我、  27 And Isaac said unto them, Wherefore come ye
打发我走了、为甚麽到我这里来呢。 to me, seeing ye hate me, and have sent me away
                                 from you?
 28 他们说、我们明明的看见耶和华  28 And they said, We saw certainly that the
与你同在、便说、不如我们两下彼此 LORD was with thee: and we said, Let there be
起誓、彼此立约。                 now an oath betwixt us, even betwixt us and
                                 thee, and let us make a covenant with thee;
 29 使你不害我们、正如我们未曾害  29 That thou wilt do us no hurt, as we have
你、一味的厚待你、并且打发你平平 not touched thee, and as we have done unto thee
安安的走．你是蒙耶和华赐福的了。 nothing but good, and have sent thee away in
                                 peace: thou art now the blessed of the LORD.
 30 以撒就为他们设摆筵席、他们便  30 And he made them a feast, and they did eat
□了喝了。                       and drink.
 31 他们清早起来彼此起誓．以撒打  31 And they rose up betimes in the morning,
发他们走、他们就平平安安的离开他 and sware one to another: and Isaac sent them
走了。                           away, and they departed from him in peace.
 32 那一天以撒的仆人来、将挖井的  32 And it came to pass the same day, that
事告诉他、说、我们得了水了。     Isaac's servants came, and told him concerning
                                 the well which they had digged, and said unto
                                 him, We have found water.
 33 他就给那井起名叫示巴．因此那  33 And he called it Shebah: therefore the name

 34 以扫四十岁的时候、娶了赫人比  34 And Esau was forty years old when he took

 35 他们常使以撒和利百加心里愁烦  35 Which were a grief of mind unto Isaac and
