第三十一章                       CHAPTER 31
  1 雅各听见拉班的儿子们有话说、   1 And he heard the words of Laban's sons,
雅各把我们父亲所有的都夺了去、并 saying, Jacob hath taken away all that was our
藉著我们父亲的、得了这一切的荣耀 father's; and of that which was our father's
。〔荣耀或作财〕                 hath he gotten all this glory.
  2 雅各见拉班的气色向他不如从前   2 And Jacob beheld the countenance of Laban,
了。                             and, behold, it was not toward him as before.
  3 耶和华对雅各说、你要回你祖你   3 And the LORD said unto Jacob, Return unto
父之地、到你亲族那里去、我必与你 the land of thy fathers, and to thy kindred;
同在。                           and I will be with thee.
  4 雅各就打发人、叫拉结和利亚到   4 And Jacob sent and called Rachel and Leah
田野羊群那里来．                 to the field unto his flock,
  5 对他们说、我看你们父亲的气色   5 And said unto them, I see your father's
向我不如从前了．但我父亲的　神向 countenance, that it is not toward me as
来与我同在。                     before; but the God of my father hath been with
                                 me.
  6 你们也知道、我尽了我的力量服   6 And ye know that with all my power I have
事你们的父亲。                   served your father.
  7 你们的父亲欺哄我、十次改了我   7 And your father hath deceived me, and
的工价．然而　神不容他害我。     changed my wages ten times; but God suffered
                                 him not to hurt me.
  8 他若说、有点的归你作工价、羊   8 If he said thus, The speckled shall be thy
群所生的都有点．他若说、有纹的归 wages; then all the cattle bare speckled: and
你作工价、羊群所生的都有纹。     if he said thus, The ringstraked shall be thy
                                 hire; then bare all the cattle ringstraked.
  9 这样、　神把你们父亲的牲畜夺   9 Thus God hath taken away the cattle of your

 10 羊配合的时候、我梦中举目一看  10 And it came to pass at the time that the
、见跳母羊的公羊、都是有纹的、有 cattle conceived, that I lifted up mine eyes,

 11 　神的使者在那梦中呼叫我说、  11 And the angel of God spake unto me in a

 12 他说、你举目观看、跳母羊的公  12 And he said, Lift up now thine eyes, and
羊都是有纹的、有点的、有花斑的． see, all the rams which leap upon the cattle
凡拉班向你所作的、我都看见了。   are ringstraked, speckled, and grisled: for I
                                 have seen all that Laban doeth unto thee.
 13 我是伯特利的　神．你在那里用  13 I am the God of Bethel, where thou
油浇过柱子、向我许过愿．现今你起 anointedst the pillar, and where thou vowedst a
来离开这地、回你本地去罢。       vow unto me: now arise, get thee out from this
                                 land, and return unto the land of thy kindred.
 14 拉结和利亚回答雅各说、在我们  14 And Rachel and Leah answered and said unto
父亲的家里还有我们可得的分麽、还 him, Is there yet any portion or inheritance
有我们的产业麽。                 for us in our father's house?
 15 我们不是被他当作外人麽．因为  15 Are we not counted of him strangers? for he
他卖了我们、吞了我们的价值。     hath sold us, and hath quite devoured also our
                                 money.
 16 　神从我们父亲所夺出来的一切  16 For all the riches which God hath taken
财物、那就是我们、和我们孩子们的 from our father, that is ours, and our
．现今凡　神所吩咐你的、你只管去 children's: now then, whatsoever God hath said
行罢。                           unto thee, do.
 17 雅各起来、使他的儿子和妻子都  17 Then Jacob rose up, and set his sons and
骑上骆驼．                       his wives upon camels;
 18 又带著他在巴旦亚兰所得的一切  18 And he carried away all his cattle, and all
牲畜和财物、往迦南地、他父亲以撒 his goods which he had gotten, the cattle of

 19 当时拉班剪羊毛去了．拉结偷了  19 And Laban went to shear his sheep: and

 23 拉班带领他的众弟兄去追赶、追  23 And he took his brethren with him, and
了七日、在基列山就追上了。       pursued after him seven days' journey; and they
                                 overtook him in the mount Gilead.
 24 夜间　神到亚兰人拉班那里、在  24 And God came to Laban the Syrian in a dream
梦中对他说、你要小心、不可与雅各 by night, and said unto him, Take heed that
说好说歹。                       thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad.
 25 拉班追上雅各、雅各在山上支搭  25 Then Laban overtook Jacob. Now Jacob had
帐棚．拉班和他的众弟兄、也在基列 pitched his tent in the mount: and Laban with
山上支搭帐棚。                   his brethren pitched in the mount of Gilead.
 26 拉班对雅各说、你作的是甚麽事  26 And Laban said to Jacob, What hast thou
呢、你背著我偷走了、又把我的女儿 done, that thou hast stolen away unawares to

                                 taken with the sword?
 27 你为甚麽暗暗的逃跑、偷著走、  27 Wherefore didst thou flee away secretly,
并不告诉我、叫我可以欢乐、唱歌、 and steal away from me; and didst not tell me,
击鼓、弹琴的送你回去。           that I might have sent thee away with mirth,
                                 and with songs, with tabret, and with harp?
 28 又不容我与外孙和女儿亲嘴．你  28 And hast not suffered me to kiss my sons
所行的真是愚昧。                 and my daughters? thou hast now done foolishly
                                 in so doing.
 29 我手中原有能力害你、只是你父  29 It is in the power of my hand to do you
亲的　神昨夜对我说、你要小心、不 hurt: but the God of your father spake unto me
可与雅各说好说歹。               yesternight, saying, Take thou heed that thou
                                 speak not to Jacob either good or bad.
 30 现在你虽然想你父家、不得不去  30 And now, though thou wouldest needs be
、为甚麽又偷了我的神像呢。       gone, because thou sore longedst after thy
                                 father's house, yet wherefore hast thou stolen
                                 my gods?
 31 雅各回答拉班说、恐怕你把你的  31 And Jacob answered and said to Laban,
女儿从我夺去、所以我逃跑。       Because I was afraid: for I said, Peradventure
                                 thou wouldest take by force thy daughters from
                                 me.
 32 至於你的神像、你在谁那里搜出  32 With whomsoever thou findest thy gods, let
来、就不容谁存活．当著我们的众弟 him not live: before our brethren discern thou

 33 拉班进了雅各、利亚、并两个使  33 And Laban went into Jacob's tent, and into

麽过犯、有甚麽罪恶、你竟这样火速 and Jacob answered and said to Laban, What is
的追我。                         my trespass? what is my sin, that thou hast so
                                 hotly pursued after me?
 37 你摸遍了我一切的家具、你搜出  37 Whereas thou hast searched all my stuff,
甚麽来呢、可以放在你我弟兄面前、 what hast thou found of all thy household
叫他们在你我中间辨别辨别。       stuff? set it here before my brethren and thy
                                 brethren, that they may judge betwixt us both.
 38 我在你家这二十年、你的母绵羊  38 This twenty years have I been with thee;
、母山羊、没有掉过胎．你群中的公 thy ewes and thy she goats have not cast their
羊、我没有□过．                 young, and the rams of thy flock have I not
                                 eaten.
 39 被野兽撕裂的、我没有带来给你  39 That which was torn of beasts I brought not
、是我自己赔上、无论是白日、是黑 unto thee; I bare the loss of it; of my hand
夜、被偷去的、你都向我索要。     didst thou require it, whether stolen by day,
                                 or stolen by night.
 40 我白日受尽乾热、黑夜受尽寒霜  40 Thus I was; in the day the drought consumed
、不得合眼睡著、我常是这样。     me, and the frost by night; and my sleep
                                 departed from mine eyes.
 41 我这二十年在你家里、为你的两  41 Thus have I been twenty years in thy house;
个女儿服事你十四年、为你的羊群服 I served thee fourteen years for thy two
事你六年、你又十次改了我的工价。 daughters, and six years for thy cattle: and
                                 thou hast changed my wages ten times.
 42 若不是我父亲以撒所敬畏的　神  42 Except the God of my father, the God of
、就是亚伯拉罕的　神与我同在、你 Abraham, and the fear of Isaac, had been with
如今必定打发我空手而去．　神看见 me, surely thou hadst sent me away now empty.
我的苦情、和我的劳碌、就在昨夜责 God hath seen mine affliction and the labour of
备你。                           my hands, and rebuked thee yesternight.
 43 拉班回答雅各说、这女儿是我的  43 And Laban answered and said unto Jacob,
女儿、这些孩子是我的孩子、这些羊 These daughters are my daughters, and these
群也是我的羊群、凡在你眼前的都是 children are my children, and these cattle are
我的．我的女儿、并他们所生的孩子 my cattle, and all that thou seest is mine: and
、我今日能向他们作甚麽呢。       what can I do this day unto these my daughters,
                                 or unto their children which they have born?
 44 来罢、你我二人可以立约、作你  44 Now therefore come thou, let us make a
我中间的证据。                   covenant, I and thou; and let it be for a
                                 witness between me and thee.
 45 雅各就拿一块石头立作柱子。    45 And Jacob took a stone, and set it up for a
                                 pillar.
 46 又对众弟兄说、你们堆聚石头．  46 And Jacob said unto his brethren, Gather
他们就拿石头来堆成一堆、大家便在 stones; and they took stones, and made an heap:
旁边□喝。                       and they did eat there upon the heap.
 47 拉班称那石堆为伊迦尔撒哈杜他  47 And Laban called it Jegarsahadutha: but
、雅各却称那石堆为迦累得。〔都是 Jacob called it Galeed.
以石堆为证的意思〕               
 48 拉班说、今日这石堆作你我中间  48 And Laban said, This heap is a witness
的证据．因此这地方名叫迦累得、   between me and thee this day. Therefore was the
                                 name of it called Galeed;
 49 又叫米斯巴、意思说、我们彼此  49 And Mizpah; for he said, The LORD watch
离别以後、愿耶和华在你我中间鉴察 between me and thee, when we are absent one
。                               from another.
 50 你若苦待我的女儿、又在我的女  50 If thou shalt afflict my daughters, or if
儿以外另娶妻、虽没有人知道、却有 thou shalt take other wives beside my
　神在你我中间作见证。           daughters, no man is with us; see, God is
                                 witness betwixt me and thee.
 51 拉班又说、你看我在你我中间所  51 And Laban said to Jacob, Behold this heap,
立的这石堆、和柱子．             and behold this pillar, which I have cast
                                 betwixt me and thee:
 52 这石堆作证据、这柱子也作证据  52 This heap be witness, and this pillar be
、我必不过这石堆去害你、你也不可 witness, that I will not pass over this heap to
过这石堆和柱子、来害我．         thee, and that thou shalt not pass over this
                                 heap and this pillar unto me, for harm.
 53 但愿亚伯拉罕的　神、和拿鹤的  53 The God of Abraham, and the God of Nahor,
　神、就是他们父亲的　神、在你我 the God of their father, judge betwixt us. And
中间判断．雅各就指著他父亲以撒所 Jacob sware by the fear of his father Isaac.
敬畏的　神起誓。                 
 54 又在山上献祭、请众弟兄来□饭  54 Then Jacob offered sacrifice upon the
．他们□了饭、便在山上住宿。     mount, and called his brethren to eat bread:
                                 and they did eat bread, and tarried all night
                                 in the mount.
 55 拉班清早起来、与他外孙和女儿  55 And early in the morning Laban rose up, and
亲嘴、给他们祝福、回往自己的地方 kissed his sons and his daughters, and blessed
去了。                           them: and Laban departed, and returned unto his
                                 place.
