第三十五章                       CHAPTER 35
  1 　神对雅各说、起来、上伯特利   1 And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to

今以後不要再叫雅各、要叫以色列、 thy name shall not be called any more Jacob,
这样、他就改名叫以色列。         but Israel shall be thy name: and he called his

 11 　神又对他说、我是全能的　神  11 And God said unto him, I am God Almighty:
、你要生养众多、将来有一族、和多 be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a
国的民从你而生、又有君王从你而出 company of nations shall be of thee, and kings
。                               shall come out of thy loins;
 12 我所赐给亚伯拉罕和以撒的地、  12 And the land which I gave Abraham and
我要赐给你、与你的後裔。         Isaac, to thee I will give it, and to thy seed
                                 after thee will I give the land.
 13 　神就从那与雅各说话的地方升  13 And God went up from him in the place where

 14 雅各便在那里立了一根石柱、在  14 And Jacob set up a pillar in the place

 15 雅各就给那地方起名叫伯特利。  15 And Jacob called the name of the place

 16 他们从伯特利起行、离以法他还  16 And they journeyed from Bethel; and there
有一段路程、拉结临产甚是艰难．   was but a little way to come to Ephrath: and
                                 Rachel travailed, and she had hard labour.
 17 正在艰难的时候、收生婆对他说  17 And it came to pass, when she was in hard
、不要怕、你又要得一个儿子了。   labour, that the midwife said unto her, Fear
                                 not; thou shalt have this son also.
 18 他将近於死、灵魂要走的时候、  18 And it came to pass, as her soul was in
就给他儿子起名叫便俄尼、他父亲却 departing, (for she died) that she called his

                                 Benjamin.
 19 拉结死了、葬在以法他的路旁．  19 And Rachel died, and was buried in the way

 20 雅各在他的坟上立了一统碑、就  20 And Jacob set a pillar upon her grave: that
是拉结的墓碑、到今日还在。       is the pillar of Rachel's grave unto this day.
 21 以色列起行前往、在以得台那边  21 And Israel journeyed, and spread his tent

 22 以色列住在那地的时候、流便去  22 And it came to pass, when Israel dwelt in
与他父亲的妾辟拉同寝、以色列也听 that land, that Reuben went and lay with Bilhah

                                 Now the sons of Jacob were twelve:
 23 利亚所生的、是雅各的长子流便  23 The sons of Leah; Reuben, Jacob's
、还有西缅、利未、犹大、以萨迦、 firstborn, and Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and
西布伦。                         Issachar, and Zebulun:
 24 拉结所生的是约瑟、便雅悯。    24 The sons of Rachel; Joseph, and Benjamin:
 25 拉结的使女辟拉所生的是但、拿  25 And the sons of Bilhah, Rachel's handmaid;
弗他利。                         Dan, and Naphtali:
 26 利亚的使女悉帕所生的是迦得、  26 And the sons of Zilpah, Leah's handmaid:
亚设、这是雅各在巴旦亚兰所生的儿 Gad, and Asher: these are the sons of Jacob,
子。                             which were born to him in Padanaram.
 27 雅各来到他父亲以撒那里、到了  27 And Jacob came unto Isaac his father unto
基列亚巴的幔利、乃是亚伯拉罕和以 Mamre, unto the city of Arbah, which is Hebron,
撒寄居的地方．基列亚巴就是希伯仑 where Abraham and Isaac sojourned.

 28 以撒共活了一百八十岁。        28 And the days of Isaac were an hundred and

 29 以撒年纪老迈、日子满足、气绝  29 And Isaac gave up the ghost, and died, and
