36:1 以扫就是以东，他的后代记在下面。
Now these are the generations of Esau, who is Edom.

36:2 以扫娶迦南的女子为妻，就是赫人以伦的女儿亚大和希未人祭便的孙女，亚拿的女
儿阿何利巴玛，
Esau took his wives of the daughters of Canaan; Adah the daughter of Elon th
e Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon the Hi
vite;

36:3 又娶了以实玛利的女儿，尼拜约的妹子巴实抹。
And Bashemath Ishmael's daughter, sister of Nebajoth.

36:4 亚大给以扫生了以利法。巴实抹生了流珥。
And Adah bare to Esau Eliphaz; and Bashemath bare Reuel;

36:5 阿何利巴玛生了耶乌施，雅兰，可拉。这都是以扫的儿子，是在迦南地生的。
And Aholibamah bare Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah: these are the sons of Esau
, which were born unto him in the land of Canaan.

36:6 以扫带着他的妻子，儿女，与家中一切的人口，并他的牛羊，牲畜，和一切货财，
就是他在迦南地所得的，往别处去，离了他兄弟雅各。
And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the person
s of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance, w
hich he had got in the land of Canaan; and went into the country from the fa
ce of his brother Jacob.

36:7 因为二人的财物群畜甚多，寄居的地方容不下他们，所以不能同居。
For their riches were more than that they might dwell together; and the land
 wherein they were strangers could not bear them because of their cattle.

36:8 于是以扫住在西珥山里。以扫就是以东。
Thus dwelt Esau in mount Seir: Esau is Edom.

36:9 以扫是西珥山里以东人的始祖，他的后代记在下面。
And these are the generations of Esau the father of the Edomites in mount Se
ir:

36:10 以扫众子的名字如下。以扫的妻子亚大生以利法。以扫的妻子巴实抹生流珥。
These are the names of Esau's sons; Eliphaz the son of Adah the wife of Esau
, Reuel the son of Bashemath the wife of Esau.

36:11 以利法的儿子是毯螅，阿抹，洗玻，迦坦，基纳斯。
And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.

36:12 亭纳是以扫儿子以利法的妾。她给以利法生了亚玛力。这是以扫的妻子亚大的子
孙。
And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau's son; and she bare to Eliphaz Amale
k: these were the sons of Adah Esau's wife.

36:13 流珥的儿子是拿哈，谢拉，沙玛，米撒。这是以扫妻子巴实抹的子孙。
And these are the sons of Reuel; Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah: the
se were the sons of Bashemath Esau's wife.

36:14 以扫的妻子阿何利巴玛是祭便的孙女，亚拿的女儿。她给以扫生了耶乌施，雅兰
，可拉。
And these were the sons of Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah the daughter of 
Zibeon, Esau's wife: and she bare to Esau Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.

36:15 以扫子孙中作族长的记在下面。以扫的长子以利法的子孙中，有毯螅族长，阿抹
族长，洗玻族长，基纳斯族长，
These were dukes of the sons of Esau: the sons of Eliphaz the firstborn son 
of Esau; duke Teman, duke Omar, duke Zepho, duke Kenaz,

36:16 可拉族长，迦坦族长，亚玛力族长。这是在以东地从以利法所出的族长，都是亚
大的子孙。
Duke Korah, duke Gatam, and duke Amalek: these are the dukes that came of El
iphaz in the land of Edom; these were the sons of Adah.

36:17 以扫的儿子流珥的子孙中，有拿哈族长，谢拉族长，沙玛族长，米撒族长。这是
在以东地从流珥所出的族长，都是以扫妻子巴实抹的子孙。
And these are the sons of Reuel Esau's son; duke Nahath, duke Zerah, duke Sh
ammah, duke Mizzah: these are the dukes that came of Reuel in the land of Ed
om; these are the sons of Bashemath Esau's wife.

36:18 以扫的妻子阿何利巴玛的子孙中，有耶乌施族长，雅兰族长，可拉族长。这是从
以扫妻子，亚拿的女儿，阿何利巴玛子孙中所出的族长。
And these are the sons of Aholibamah Esau's wife; duke Jeush, duke Jaalam, d
uke Korah: these were the dukes that came of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah
, Esau's wife.

36:19 以上的族长都是以扫的子孙。以扫就是以东。
These are the sons of Esau, who is Edom, and these are their dukes.

36:20 那地原有的居民何利人西珥的子孙记在下面，就是罗坍，朔巴，祭便，亚拿，
These are the sons of Seir the Horite, who inhabited the land; Lotan, and Sh
obal, and Zibeon, and Anah,

36:21 底顺，以察，底珊。这是从以东地的何利人西珥子孙中所出的族长。
And Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan: these are the dukes of the Horites, the ch
ildren of Seir in the land of Edom.

36:22 罗坍的儿子是何利，希幔。罗坍的妹子是亭纳。
And the children of Lotan were Hori and Hemam; and Lotan's sister was Timna.

36:23 朔巴的儿子是亚勒文，玛拿辖，以巴录，示玻，阿南。
And the children of Shobal were these; Alvan, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shepho
, and Onam.

36:24 祭便的儿子是亚雅，亚拿（当时在旷野放他父亲祭便的驴，遇着温泉的，就是这
亚拿）。
And these are the children of Zibeon; both Ajah, and Anah: this was that Ana
h that found the mules in the wilderness, as he fed the asses of Zibeon his 
father.

36:25 亚拿的儿子是底顺。亚拿的女儿是阿何利巴玛。
And the children of Anah were these; Dishon, and Aholibamah the daughter of 
Anah.

36:26 底顺的儿子是欣但，伊是班，益兰，基兰。
And these are the children of Dishon; Hemdan, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Ch
eran.

36:27 以察的儿子是辟罕，撒番，亚干。
The children of Ezer are these; Bilhan, and Zaavan, and Akan.

36:28 底珊的儿子是乌斯，亚兰。
The children of Dishan are these; Uz, and Aran.

36:29 从何利人所出的族长记在下面，就是罗坍族长，朔巴族长，祭便族长，亚拿族长
，
These are the dukes that came of the Horites; duke Lotan, duke Shobal, duke 
Zibeon, duke Anah,

36:30 底顺族长，以察族长，底珊族长。这是从何利人所出的族长，都在西珥地，按着
宗族作族长。
Duke Dishon, duke Ezer, duke Dishan: these are the dukes that came of Hori, 
among their dukes in the land of Seir.

36:31 以色列人未有君王治理以先，在以东地作王的记在下面。
And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there reign
ed any king over the children of Israel.

36:32 比珥的儿子比拉在以东作王，他的京城名叫亭哈巴。
And Bela the son of Beor reigned in Edom: and the name of his city was Dinha
bah.

36:33 比拉死了，波斯拉人谢拉的儿子约巴接续他作王。
And Bela died, and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.

36:34 约巴死了，毯螅地的人户珊接续他作王。
And Jobab died, and Husham of the land of Temani reigned in his stead.

36:35 户珊死了，比达的儿子哈达接续他作王。这哈达就是在摩押地杀败米甸人的，他
的京城名叫亚未得。
And Husham died, and Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field o
f Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.

36:36 哈达死了，玛士利加人桑拉接续他作王。
And Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.

36:37 桑拉死了，大河边的利河伯人扫罗接续他作王。
And Samlah died, and Saul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.

36:38 扫罗死了，亚革波的儿子巴勒哈南接续他作王。
And Saul died, and Baalhanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.

36:39 亚革波的儿子巴勒哈南死了，哈达接续他作王，他的京城名叫巴乌。他的妻子名
叫米希她别，是米萨合的孙女，玛特列的女儿。
And Baalhanan the son of Achbor died, and Hadar reigned in his stead: and th
e name of his city was Pau; and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter 
of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.

36:40 从以扫所出的族长，按着他们的宗族，住处，名字记在下面，就是亭纳族长，亚
勒瓦族长，耶帖族长，
And these are the names of the dukes that came of Esau, according to their f
amilies, after their places, by their names; duke Timnah, duke Alvah, duke J
etheth,

36:41 阿何利巴玛族长，以拉族长，比嫩族长，
Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,

36:42 基纳斯族长，毯螅族长，米比萨族长，
Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,

36:43 玛基叠族长，以兰族长。这是以东人在所得为业的地上，按着他们的住处，所有
的族长都是以东人的始祖以扫的后代。
Duke Magdiel, duke Iram: these be the dukes of Edom, according to their habi
tations in the land of their possession: he is Esau the father of the Edomit
es.
