                The Eagle
                        Alfred Tennyson
        He clasps the crag with crooked hands;
        Close to the sun in lonely lands,
        Ringed with the azure world, he stands.

        The wrinkled sea beneath him crawls,
        He watches from his mountain walls,
        And like a thunderbolt he falls.

        [简析]
          丁尼生（1809-1892），英国维多利亚时代桂冠诗人。
           这首诗以静写动，描绘了悬崖边上傲然兀立的山鹰
        的勇猛冷峻和随时准备搏击长空的生动情景。
