Sorrow that has lost its memory is like the
dumb dark hours that have no bird songs but
only the cricket's chirp.
失去了记忆的忧愁像喑哑沉郁的光阴，没有鸟儿的
歌唱，只有那蟋蟀的唧唧声。

Bigotry tries to keep truth safe in its hand
with a grip that kill it.
Wishing to hearten a timid lamp great night
lights all her stars.
偏见想把真理安全地握在手里却紧紧地捏死了它，
愿心想吹燃一盏羞怯的小灯伟大的夜就点起了她的满天的星星。

Though he holds in his arms the earthbride,
the sky is ever immensely away.
天空虽然想把大地新娘抱在怀里，却总是无限遥远。

God seeks comrades and claims love,the Devil seeks
slaves and claims obedience.
上帝寻找同志而要求爱，魔鬼寻找奴隶而要求服从。

The soil in return for her service keeps the tree
tied to her,the sky asks nothing and leaves it free.
土地把树儿束缚在她身上作为她服务的报酬，
天空却一点也不要，就让它自由。
