She didn't come. I only got the letter, which was in my hand.

  
Mum came and asked me who had written the letter. I said that it's from Mei
and that she had moved to live with her parents far and far away.
  
"She is a nice girl." Mum murmured as she closed the door, leaving me to 
sit on the bed alone.
  


Now, I am a college student. Every day, the busy study life takes away most
of my time and gradually blurs my most memories no matter how deep those 
memories used to be in my heart. That lovely girl who liked wearing white robe
and white bowknot moves farther and farther from me, so far that what 
remains in my mind is only a blear profile of her. Maybe, she has changed a lot 
these years and I cannot recognize her even we meet each other somewhere some
day. Maybe, she has forgotten the boy she once danced with at one of her 
birthday parties. But I will never forget the feeling I had three years ago 
when I knew from her letter that she had moved away. If I could go back in 
time, I surely would say a word to her, "Mei, I'm sorry."
