Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji's official visit to the Republic of India and the
 People's Republic of Bangladesh will push forward China's bilateral friendl
y cooperation with both countries, Foreign Ministry spokesman Sun Yuxi said 
here Tuesday.
Sun said Zhu held talks with the Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee 
Monday and both sides exchanged in-depth views on bilateral relations and is
sues of common concern.
The relationship between China and India shows that as two large developing 
countries, China and India are confronted with the same task of upgrading th
e national economy and raising people's living standards, said Sun.
The visit shows that China and India have great opportunities to explore the
 potential for communication and cooperation in various fields, which will f
urther promote China-India relations, he said.
Referring to Zhu's visit to Bangladesh, Sun said China and Bangladesh have b
een good neighbors for a long time and have cooperated well in many fields. 
He also believes that the visit will hasten all-round friendly ties between 
China and Bangladesh.
