Speaking at a meeting, Li Lanqing says this is a long-term, difficult and co
mplex task, but an important undertaking in promoting the rapid and healthy 
development of the economy.
Li Lanqing demands government departments punish corrupt individuals within 
the full extent of the law.
He also requests to further change the function of the government, perfect t
he law enforcement mechanism and establish a system of ascertaining responsi
bility.
Li Lanqing wants to use advanced technology to improve the market administra
tion while media and public opinions should be given full play.
