Local researchers conducted a random survey at the Shanghai University of Se
nior Citizens. Among the 1,500 seniors who took part in the survey, 350 use 
mobile phones, and 150 use computers.
Most of those using a mobile phone say they find them handy to keep in touch
 with relatives and friends, while those using computers and e-mail enjoy no
t only easy communication but a new method for gaining knowledge.
