In the southern city of Guangzhou, some taxi drivers are studying psychology
 and receiving training courses from psychological experts.
The taxi company of Guangzhou Transport Group says the training courses they
 provide mainly teach taxi drivers how to look upon their service as a produ
ct and successfully sell it to passengers, thereby increasing client satisfa
ction.
Many taxi drivers say they learn a lot from the psychologists and have a bet
ter understanding of passengers. One of them says he is glad to know that a 
tidy appearance and polite behavior can make passengers feel safe and comfor
table.
The person in charge says they offer training for the employees to raise the
 service standard and provide tailored services to passengers.
