The regulation says all taxi companies and individual drivers should make un
iforms designed according to different seasons and they will foot the bill.
Sources say the regulation will be brought into the examination of the quali
ty and service standard of taxi operators since the day it is adopted. Meanw
hile, the city's law enforcement agency will impose a fine of 100 to 1,000 y
uan to drivers who do not comply with regulations. Those with more serious b
reaches will be fined 1,000 to 2,000 yuan, and their job certificates will b
e confiscated for one to three months.
