标  题: Professor Fan Chengmou Takes Part in the Compilat

The 16th Working Conference of Timber Structure Technology Commission of Int
ernational Organization of Standardization was held in Canada at the end of 
2002. Fan Chengmou, Professor of the School of Civil Engineering, as a membe
r of the Commission, was presented at the Conference. The compilation of int
ernational standards of timber structure was discussed at the conference.
China is one of the 20 member countries of the Commission. Professor Fan, as
 a Chinese famous expert of timber structure, has been taking part in the co
mpilation of international standards of timber structure for many years. Tim
ber Structure Technology Commission of International Organization of Standar
dization has founded 9 groups for the compilation work. Professor Fan, as th
e member of 3 groups, is taking part in the compilation of the parts about s
tandards.
