　　子　衿　　　　　　　　　　　　　The  Green  Collar 
                      
青　青　子　衿，                   Your collar is pure green;
悠　悠　我　心。                   My heart is not serene.
纵　我　不　往，                   Even though I fail to go,
子　宁　不　嗣　音？               Why don’t you say hello?

青　青　子　佩，                   Your belt-jade is pure green;
悠　悠　我　思。                   My thoughts are not serene.
纵　我　不　往，                   Even though I fail to go,
子　宁　不　来？                   Why don’t you presence show?
      
挑　兮　达　兮！                   Into the sky I gaze;
在　城　阙　兮！                   On City Tower I pace.
一　日　不　见，                   One day I don’t meet thee,
如　三　月　兮。                   Three months it seems to be.
