 According to the statement, disagreement can cause stress and inhibit l
earning, while I agree that we can benefit more from contradicting views. Firs
t, contradicting views help us see the flaws of our own point of view, enable 
us to improving our understanding. We have to admit the limitation of human’s
 cognition. Our different pl
aces of birth occupy dissimilar custom and culture, different education
 background offers us varies kinds of world view and methods of dealing with p
roblems. Books we read that present us different aspects of the world we live 
in are not alike. Respective
 experience of our own is also a crucial factor in determining things. 
On account of all above, inevitably, diversity appear among us. Nobody can all
ege he is always right. Actually, any view just is the products of subjective 
understanding, so it’s nece-
ssary for us to listen to and communicate with others who hold ones of 
dissimilitude. A famous case that contradicting views help to further understa
nding and achieve truth about whether light is wave or particle occurred in 17
th century showed us a good
example of it. Newton as a scientist of good reputation supported parti
cle theory that is therefore superior to the other when many following experim
ents proved the obvious wave character of light. People transfered to believe 
latter. Until it seemed puzz
led in explaining the photo-electric effect found by Einstein, people d
id not realize light is not only a beam of wave but also has the property of p
article. Without the collision and intercommunication of two theories, scienti
sts would explore longer. 

  Second, contradicting views may provide us with alternative perspectives 
to problems, which is key in a multicultural world. As we know, one object has
 not only one side, we just interpret them from few points, thus, learning fro
m difference seems significa
nt to some degree. As a developing country, China should solidify its e
conomic foundation. Besides, absorbing other countries highly advanced technol
ogy and wise management methods can speed us greatly in development. The proce
ss of absorbing is just an a
cceptance after communicating, comparing and making use. One can achiev
e only if he knows how to learn from difference to expand and even correct his
 views. By comparison, people who should share our view have nothing new to co
ntribute. Sharing views just
 adds your confidence to what you are already sure, just copies your ex
isting ones. Which is less meaningful than to accept an absolutely different v
iewpoints. Disagreements make us see a variety of world, and leads our society
 to further progress.
