这次老师让描写一张照片,因为当时刚刚参观完周总理诞辰100周年的展览,于是
我就选择了那张"很有名"的照片...

A Photo

Simple. That is the word for this old photo.
     
In the darkness, soft light focuses on an old man in deep gray tunic 
and trousers. He sits in a brown armchair, leaning backward gently. He 
stretches out his left arm, his hand barely grasping the edge of the armrest. 
And the right arm bends naturally on the other armrest.
     
The color, the structure, everything about this photo is just simple. 
There is no riot of color, nor image of turbulence, only the pervasive 
solemnity and the firm expression of the photographed person.
    
The dark background causes the gray hair on his temples to seem quite 
conspicuous. His hair is combed tidily backward, and quite broad seems his for
ehead, under which is a pair of bushy eyebrows. He seems to be lost in 
thought, looking with a fixed gaze at the direction where comes the light. And 
the light causes him to appear a bit emaciated but his skin smooth. Right on 
his chest, a souvenir badge is gleaming. On it are the words, to which he has
devoted himself: " Serve the people wholeheartedly."
