几种火焰
flame,flare,glow,blaze

flame:
火焰，强烈的感情（尤指爱情）
example:a flicker of interest soon turn into the burning flame of desire
似火焰一般闪耀
example:flaming sunset
wooded hillsides that flame red in Autumn
另外flaming有激烈的意思，如：flaming argument激烈的辩论

flare:
burning brightly but briefly and unsteadily强调燃烧的短暂和不稳定
example:the match flared in the darkness
另外flare up:burn suddenly more and intensely;突然烧的更旺
becoming angry suddenly突然发怒

glow :
send out heat and light but without flame 没有火焰的燃烧，如木炭等
example:glowing charcoal ;metal glowing in the furnace
另外glow with:look or feel warm (esp.after excerse or become excited)
glowing cheeks:发红的双颊
glowing with health,pride:满面红光，生气活现
还有另外一个意思就是：色彩的绚丽等，如a garden full of glowing flower
花园里都是绚丽的花儿

blaze:
bright flame or fire;有火焰
(light,color等强烈释放）the garden is a blaze of color
发光，照耀
the light blazed along the whole streets
sun blazed down the  desert
另外blaze with:show strong feeling,esp.anger
He is blazing with indignation
blaze up:大怒

几种光 gleam glitter glint glimmer

gleam:
brief apperance of light强调光的短暂闪现
example: a few faint gleams sunshine lit up the gloomy afternoon
柔光，反光
example:
water gleaming in the moonlight;
cat's eyes gleaming in the dark
另外gleaming with有感情的流露
example:eyes gleaming with anticipation,excitement,etc

glimmer:
send out a weak unsteady light微光
lights glimmering in the distance
a glimmer of hope:一线希望
另外的用法：迹象 a glimmer to the solution of the problem

glint:
反光，esp.硬物的反光
her eyes cautht the glint of revolver among the bush,看见手枪的发光

glitter:
shine brightly with little sharp flashes of light强调闪烁
stars glittering in the sky
a necklace glittering with diamonds
