sortilege ("SOR-til-ihj") n.
    origin: from the Latin "sortilegus" meaning "foretelling",
            from the Latin "sors" meaning "lot",
                         + "legere" meaning "to gather"
1.  Divination by lots.
2.  Sorcery enchantment.
