摘自Little Brown Handbook
all together, altogether
All together means "in union" ,or "gethered in one place". Altogether
means "entirely". It's not altogether true that our family never spends
vacations all together.
allusion, illusion
An allusion is a indirect reference, and an illusion is a deceptive
appearence: Paul's constant allusions to Shakespeare created the
illusion that he was an intellectual.
** 不要忘记intellectual 还可以做名词“知识分子”哦。
almost, most
Almost is an adverb meaning "nearly"; most is an adjective meaning
"the greater number(or part) of". In formal writing, most should not
be used as a substitue for almost: We see each other almost(not most)
every day.
