Each of these words is adequate to express contrast. Don't combine

These wordy substitutes for that and what should be avoided:
I don't double that(not but that) you are right.
calculate, figure, reckon
As substitutes for expect or imagine ( I figure I'll go), these
words are colloquial.
can, may
Strictly, can indicates capacity or ability, and may indicates
permission: If I may talk with you a moment, I believe I can solve
your problem.
