analects (AN-uh-lekts) also analecta (an-uh-LEK-tuh) plural noun

   Selections from or parts of a literary work or group of works. Often
   used as a title.

[Greek analekta, selected things, from neuter plural of analektos, gathered
together, from analegein, to gather : ana- + legein, to gather.]
