aggiornamento (a-jor-nuh-MEN-toh) noun

   The process of bringing an institution or organization up to date;
   modernization.

[Italian, from aggiornare, to update : a-, to (from Latin ad-) + giorno,
day, from Latin diurnus, daily.]
