A: Tom, I've got good news for you. 

B: What is it?

A: Haven't you heard that your novel has won the Nobel Prize?

B: Really? I can't believe it. It's like a dream come true. I never expected t
hat, you know, I would win the Nobel Prize!

A: You did a good job. I'm extremely proud of you. 

B: Thanks for the compliment. 

A: You certainly deserve it. Let's celebrate!

A: I heard you were promoted to general manager of IBM's China Headquarters. 


B: That's true. I got the news yesterday. 

A: You did a good job for the company. So, this is your first day in the new p
osition. How do you feel?

B: Not bad. I'm confident. And I like challenges. 

A: I believe you are cut out for this position. 

B: Thank you. 

 

10. I'm Looking Forward to It. 

A: I've been working hard for a whole year. I really need a break. 

B: That's true. You need to take some time off and to relax. 

A: You said it. I'm looking forward to my annual vacation. 

B: When are you going to take your vacation?

A: Later this month. I can't wait!

B: I really envy you. You know, I'm not taking my vacation until December. 

A: Mr. Wang, have you enjoyed your stay here?

B: Of course, I've enjoyed it very much. I've met my old friends and made some
 new friends. 

A: We've all enjoyed being with you. When will you come back?

B: Sometime next year. 

A: I'm looking forward to seeing you again. Take care. 

B: The same to you. Keep in touch.
