Definition: Also known as; pronounced as separate letters -- 'a-k-a'. 
 
Example:  1) Chester Hooligan, aka 'Deke Magoon', is wanted by the 
police for armed robbery. 
2) Takashi, aka Stick Boy, weighs only 85 pounds.
 
 
Etymology: This word is from the first letters of the phrase 'also known
 as'. It is frequently used in lists of false names that criminals use 
to diguise their true identities.
