nuke    
 
Definition: To cook or re-heat food in a microwave oven. 
 
Example:  1) Frozen food is so easy - just nuke it for two minutes and 
you're ready to eat!  
 
Etymology: Refers to the powerful and possibly deadly effects of 
'nuclear' devices, such as reactors and bombs.
 
 
Definition: A nuclear warhead or missile, or the act of using a 
nuclear warhead or missile. 
 
Example:  1) The United States and Russia control most of the nukes in 
the world. 
2) Although the Cold War is over, there is still a threat that 
terrorists might nuke us all back to the Stone Age.
