retro    
 
Definition: Referring to the fashion or music of an earlier time. 
 
Example:  1) College kids are so retro these days -- at some schools, 
students dress like they did in 1968. 
2) Lenny Kravitz's retro music mixes 70s soul groove with 90s punk rock.
 
 
 
Etymology: 'Retro' comes from 'retrospective', which refers to a view of
 the past.
