Definition: Head, brain, skull. 

Example: 1) If you would just use your noggin, you'd be able to do these math 
problems. 

2) Tom has a tough noggin -- he got hit in the head with a baseball but he's f
ine.  

Etymology: 'Noggin' comes from an old Irish word for a drinking mug. In the 17
00s, drinking mugs frequently had human faces on them, and over time the word 
came to refer to the human head.
