good sport

Definition: One who plays well, whether winning or losing; one who is fair a
nd is able to accept setbacks; an easy-going individual.

Example: 1) Eric was a good sport about my beating him in the game.
         2) Sarah is a good sport and gets along with everyone.

Etymology: Sports are an important part of British and American culture, and
 a 'good sport' is a cultural ideal. He or she follows the rules and can acc
ept winning or losing, no matter what the setting.
