grab a bite
Definition: To have a quick meal or snack.
Example: 1) It's almost lunchtime. I think I'm going to grab a bite before the
meeting starts.
Etymology: 'Grab' means 'to take suddenly', while 'bite' refers to a mouthful
of food.
