watered down
Definition: Weakened or diluted; something that has been made less powerful or
potent.
Example: 1) The movie is a watered down version of the book.
2) Tipsy McStagger's is a pretty good pub. The only problem is that the barten
der waters down the drinks.
Etymology: If you want to dilute the concentrate of a solution, you add water
to it.
