                           Story One
                    Celts and Ancient Britain


Once upon a time, there was a triangular-like island connected with European
 continent, the proof of this fact is that the Thames and the Rhine were one
 river at that time. Time is passing by, and the land between the island and
 the continent separated day by day, eventually the island became independen
t. At the same time a strait-the one we call now English Strait-made its sha
pe, and the island itself is called Britain nowadays.

It was humid and warm around the year on the island, not too cold in winter,
 nor too hot in summer. There was plenty of forest and marsh, and other land
s were plentiful and green. On the island, the way people were making a livi
ng was very basic and nature. They lived in milk and flesh and dressed thems
elves in skins. They were absorbed in agriculture and hunting for their dail
y life. Twelve men owned a wife together and the children born in this group
 belonged to the woman they held. We call them Celts, whose language, subseq
uently, is called Celtic, remember it is not English.

They had some strange customs, especially in battles. They painted a kind of
 frightening blue colour that was from a plant in battles. They also hired a
nother race called Druids, also living on this island, to pray for good luck
 and cursing enemies who they fought against. So Druids played a very import
ant role in battles as wizards and witches. They swore in battle and lifted 
their arms towards sky and it was considered that doing so could paralyse en
emies. Unfortunately, the Roman soldiers DID prove this when they invaded in
to this island, not because of actions and words from those strange Druids, 
but those actions themselves.

Celts and Druids, as a whole, are called Britons. They lived quietly on this
 lovely island till one day in 55 BC, a Roman hero visited them unfriendly i
n order to keep his own reputation and generalship and find new wealth for t
he Roman Empire. He was Gaius Julius Caesar, the chief commander of Gaul tha
t is located in France today and where he conquered one year before.
