The Emperor Shun once lived with his parents and a younger brother,
and he married two beautiful daughters of the Emperor Rao. His family
members, except him, were all rarely seen cruel guys. The always plotted
to rob Shun of his wealth as well as of his wives. One day, Shun's father
asked him to dig a well. When the project was nearly done, the father,
mother and brother of Shun's together filled the incompleted well as
Shun was working underneath. Finishing that, they thought Shun was dead,
so his parents held his treasure and his younger brother tried to get his
wives. After all, Shun was clever enough to understand their plan a priori,
so when he was working in the well, he'd already made a tunnel under the
earth that saved his life. Suddenly, he appeared in front of those snakes
and surprised them a lot. However, he still treated them very well. On learning
his virtue,the Emperor Yao sent him to the central government and eventually
passed the throne to him.
