When a French diplomat Charles Bonde decided to retire from public life, the l
ocal British governor and his wife threw a gala dinner party in his honor. At 
the dinner table the governor's wife was talking with Madame Bonde.

"Your husband has been such a prominent public figure and such a brilliant pre
sence on the internal affairs and international scene for so many years! How q
uiet retirement will seem in comparison. What are you most looking forward to 
in these retirement years, Madame?"

"A penis," replied Madame Bonde.

A huge hush suddenly fell over the table. Everyone heard her answer, but no on
e knew what to say next.

At this time Charles Bonde, the diplomat, leaned over to his wife and said, "M
