   什么是TOEIC（托业）考试？
   TOEIC（Test of English for International Communication）是一种国际标准化测
试，用来检测应试者在跨国商业和其他行业中掌握英语的能力。TOEIC考察两方面的能力

   TOEIC由谁组织出题？
   TOEIC考试，由美国位于新泽西州的普林斯顿的教育测试服务处（Educational Test
ing Service，即ETS）发起。ETS是一个私有的非赢利性组织，在美国教育性测试研究中
堪称第一，因其各种学术类标准化测试而闻名，如TOEFL（Test of English as a Fore
ign Language）、GMAT（Graduate Management Admission Test）和GRE（Graduate Re
cord Examination）。
   TOEIC考试是什么时候开始的？
   TOEIC考试首次于1979年在日本进行。1982年随后在韩国出现。现在，TOEIC在全世界
五十多个国家设有考点，应试者超过100万，而且人数仍在增长。
   TOEIC考试的模式是什么？
   TOEIC考试包括200道多项选择题，分为两大部分：听力理解和阅读。每部分包括100
题，需1小时15分完成。整个测试为2小时30分。听力部分有4种类型题，由CD辅助进行。
阅读部分包括3种题型。

   TOEIC与TOEFL的区别是什么？
   两项考试的组织者都是ETS，都可检测应试者的英语能力。不过每项考试的目的和内
容各不相同。TOEFL主要是考核应试者在美国大学学习中运用英语的能力，其内容多取自
学术报告和学术文章。相反，TOEIC是用来考察不同工作背景下使用岗位英语的能力。其
内容源于工作、旅行、生产和发送产品所涉及的英语。
   谁用TOEIC考试成绩？
   政府机构、公司和跨国组织用TOEIC成绩来评估其在职或即将聘用的职员掌握英语的
能力。TOEIC考试的应试者是哪些人？
   跨国公司和跨国组织的雇员；如经理、销售代表和航空服务人员，可能要求参加TOE
IC考试，用以评估有关其相关职责的语言能力，作为语言培训课中的定级标准，或是提
职。加薪的参考。政府、跨国公司和跨国组织雇用新人也可参照TOEIC成绩。许多人以个
人的名义参加TOEIC考试，以作为自我评估或简历中的一部分。
   TOEIC是如何记分的？
   TOEIC应试者将收到3个分数：听力理解分（5～495分）、阅读分（5～495分）和总分
数。
   TOEIC分数以正确答案的个数为基础，波动的范围为10～990分。
   TOEIC分数能说明什么？
   TOEIC考试没有指定的及格分数线；每个机构根据各自的需要和经验自行制定。不过
，下面的一组数字可大致说明TOEIC分数及其相关水平：
   805～990优秀
   655～804高级
   555～654中高级
   554～405中级
   305～404高级起步者
   205～304起步者
   10～204低级起步者
   TOEIC成绩是如何公布的？
   TOEIC的代表机构负责公布成绩。以个人名义登记的应试者将直接收到成绩单，其分
数保密，没有应试者的书面许可，代表机构不能把分数透漏给除资助方外的其他任何公
司或组织。受公司、机构或组织资助的应试者从其资助方获取成绩。TOEIC的代表机构将
在两年内保留应试者的成绩和相关信息。如应试者认为成绩有误，可与当地的代表处取
得联系。他们将请人亲自批改，提供第二份成绩通知单。重新阅卷将收取一定的费用。

   TOEIC考试何时、何地举行？
   考试的时间、次数与地点由当地的代表处决定。请与当地代表处联系，以查询有关这

   TOEIC应试技巧
   1.养成固定的学习习惯
   养成固定的学习习惯很重要。最好是每天都学一点儿，而不是在一无之内花上几个小
时。每天选一个固定时间。最好订个学习计划，找个更易坚持的方式。每天在同一时间
学习，如果错过时间则一定要在当天补上。
   2.尽可能多用英语
   抓住一切机会说英语，尤其是与其本族人。听英语新闻，看英文电影，读英文报纸和
杂志。可能的话去听一些英文课。
   3.研究TOEIC试题模式和问题要求
   对TOEIC的试题模式要有绝对的了解，熟悉TOEIC的7大问题。考试当天看到试卷时不
应有任何惊讶之色。选一套本书中提供的测试训练题。另外一定要确保熟悉每道问题的
要求。因为版权的原因，我们提供的各题答题要求与真题虽不是逐字逐句的一致，但是
两者十分相似，考试时无需再费时间阅读要求。
   4.自我设定时间
   注意TOEIC考试是有时间限制的，也就是说你的分数依赖于能在指定时间内完成所有
问题。注意本书中每部分题的答题技巧，每道题的答题时间在各部分均标出（图片部分
为6秒；简短对话部分为12秒）。试做一套测试题，看看能否在1小时15分中完成听力理
解部分或阅读理解部分。如果某部分题型的答题时间超过规定范围，多做本书提供的相
应练习，以求提高答题速度。
   5.熟悉如何使用答题卡答题
   本书后的练习题附有答题纸。练习在答题纸上划出答案。使用2号铅笔。还可用橡皮
和小刀。涂满代表不同选项的某一椭圆即为答案。不要在选项上划叉或对号，此为无效
选项。每道题只涂一个对应的椭圆。如涂满两个，答案无效。涂或擦时注意彻底干净。

   6.如果无法选出答案时——猜猜看
   在TOEIC考试中，选错答案不会扣分。因此答题时很重要的一点是答完每一道题，不
要留空。选不出可猜一猜。你也许会幸运地得上一分。
   考试当天
   1.不要迟到
   保证有足够的时间从容地赶到考场。
   2.带上所需的一切
   考场会提供2号铅笔和橡皮。可自备一枝2号铅笔以备万一。
   3.选一个舒服的座位
   座位最好靠近CD播放器，这样可以听得清楚些。不过，如果你坐在后面无法听清，则
立刻告诉监考者。选一个舒服的地方。尽量远离门窗，避免外界噪音的干扰。
   4.态度要积极、乐观
   积极的态度会发挥很大的作用。参与竞争的人经常采用这种态度。参加TOEIC考试时
，也要持积极的态度。晚上入睡前默念：“我懂英语，而且将在TOEIC考试中拿到高分。
”这将帮助你在潜意识中坚定自己必胜的信心。
   5.放松
   大多数考生都会有考试焦虑感。要得高分，就应学会在考试前、考试中和考试后做到
心态平和。
   6.答完每一道题
   如果你不知道答案，可猜一下。确保每道题都选出相应答案。
   7.每题只涂满一个椭圆
   每一道题涂黑一个椭圆，即为有效答案，否则为无效。用橡皮时，一定要彻底、干净
。
   8.问题与答案对应一致
   注意答题卡上划出的答案与试题的数目对应一致。
   9.先回答简单的问题
   在阅读部分，如果发现某道题很难，接下去做下一道。答完了这一部分，再回头去做
难题。
   如果不知道答案，尽可能猜测一下。
   10.最后留出一分钟检查
   最好在最后留出一分钟检查一下答题卡，确保已对所有问题有所回答。
